Membership

Our club is currently open for new members with no waiting list. Membership is on a calendar year basis.

As stewards of this field, membership in the club is required as we are charged with maintaining a safe and respectful environment. If you would like to fly here we ask that you contact one of our officers or members to meet you at the field and explain the few simple requirements for flying in close proximity to full scale operations.

All members MUST have an active membership with the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) and registered with the FAA sUAS (https://faadronezone-access.faa.gov/#/) program.

Remote ID compliant flying options at Indianapolis Westside R/C club:

  1. Fly with a Remote ID Broadcast Module

Junior: $10 Junior is age 19 or younger as of July 1 (same as AMA Youth Membership)

LATE SEASON (September and later – half off above rates)

Membership discounted for employees of First Wing Jet Center, Eagle Creek Aviation, First Responders, and Hamilton County IN.

  • Juniors: remain at $5 (would appreciate if a junior’s family would volunteer to mow 1+
